1. Definition of Personal Information
"Personal information" handled by the Company means information relating to an individual that includes, among other things, name, address, email address, and service usage records that can identify a specific individual, or information relating to the conduct of an identifiable individual.
2. Purpose of Use of Personal Information
The Company uses personal information provided by customers at the time of travel booking or inquiry to the extent necessary to achieve the following purposes.
Travel arrangements and related procedures
- For communication with customers (sending itineraries, emergency contact, etc.)
- For arranging travel services provided by transport and accommodation operators (airlines, railways, buses, hotels, ryokan, etc.) for tours booked by the customer, and for procedures to receive those services
Service information and marketing
- Providing information on services and campaigns of the Company and its partner companies
- Announcing various campaigns
- Requesting opinions and impressions after participating in travel (conducting surveys, etc.)
3. Provision to and Supervision of Outsourcing Partners
The Company may enter into outsourcing agreements with certain organisations (such as the Fukuoka Itoshima Youth Development Association) for tour operations and related services. In such cases, the Company may provide customers' personal information to the outsourcing partner to the extent necessary for the smooth provision and operation of the booked travel services.
The Company exercises appropriate supervision over outsourcing partners, including by entering into agreements on the handling of personal information.
4. Disclosure and Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
As a general rule, the Company does not disclose or provide personal information it holds to third parties other than the Company itself, the outsourcing partners described above, and cooperating companies, without the customer's consent. The following are exceptions.
- Provision for travel service arrangements: For the purpose of arranging and receiving the booked travel services, the Company provides the minimum necessary personal information (name, age, contact details, accommodation, etc.) to transport and accommodation operators by electronic means or written documents.
- When the customer has given consent: When the customer has consented to the disclosure or provision of their personal information.
- When required by law: When disclosure of information is required by law.
- When requested by a public authority: When disclosure is requested by law enforcement agencies such as courts, public prosecutors, or police, or bodies with equivalent authority, pursuant to lawful procedures.
